NELCWIT counselor/advocates have special training and are committed to supporting survivors. We use an empowerment model of counseling that respects survivors’ knowledge, experience, and right to make your own decisions. Call our crisis line during business hours to set up free, short-term counseling or to learn about support groups.

Counselor/Advocates are available to offer ongoing support for survivors recovering from either recent or past domestic and sexual violence. We provide safety planning, emotional support, and advocacy—and offer education and information about healthy relationships, self-esteem, assertiveness, and healing.

NELCWIT has designated counselors who specialize working with LGBTQ+ and Latinx (including Spanish-speaking) clients.

Almost twenty-seven years ago, NELCWIT was a lifesaver for me and my three kids, and none of us have forgotten. I'm just sharing this with you to let you know what a huge impact the courageous and dedicated women of NELCWIT, and the vital, top-notch services they provide, have had across time. I can't, and wouldn't want to, imagine my life without your grace and wisdom.
